Frequently asked questions
Fast answers before the first call.
Do I need a referral?+
Referral requirements can depend on the service, your insurance and your clinical situation. Call the location you plan to use so the team can tell you what is needed.
Can I do a sleep study at home?+
Home sleep apnea testing is available for selected patients when clinically appropriate. It does not replace an in-lab study for every sleep concern.
What happens during an overnight study?+
A technologist applies monitoring sensors, explains the process and monitors the recording while you sleep in a private room.
Do you provide CPAP or PAP supplies?+
The current site states that Sleep Centers of Alaska supports PAP equipment and replacement supplies. Use the dedicated CPAP supplies page or call your location for the current process.
How do I get my results?+
The recorded study is reviewed and interpreted before the results are discussed through the appropriate clinical follow-up process.
Can I change or cancel an appointment?+
Contact the office during normal business hours. Review the current patient packet for the organization’s published cancellation terms and any applicable fees.
Where are the centers?+
Sleep Centers of Alaska lists physical centers in Anchorage, Wasilla and Soldotna.
Can I send medical history through the general website?+
Avoid placing detailed health information into a general website message unless the organization confirms that the specific workflow is approved for that purpose.
